I’m returning to my top 50 favorite rock bands. In this video series, I’m identifying the best three albums by each band. This blog is for band #36 – The Struts.
Criteria for selecting the best three albums
First, the band must have at least three albums. The Struts only have three although all of them are good. Second I’m allowing Greatest Hits albums. You will not see one today. Third no live albums are permitted. The Struts are excellent in concert. I’ve seen them rock the stage hard. I don’t think they’ve released a lot of live music to date.
The third-best album by this band is Strange Days
The third-best album by The Struts is called Strange Days. Recorded in a few weeks during the pandemic. They did a nice job of capturing the weirdness that we all experienced firsthand. Remember how weird it was when we had to stay home? Two things about this album. First, it rocks hard. Second, they have some guest appearances including Def Leppard on one of the tracks.
The second-best album by The Struts
The second-best album by this modern band is called Young and Dangerous. It is their sophomore record. No sophomore slump with this record. It is a really good record including several awesome songs like “Body Talks”. Make sure you listen to the remake of “Body Talks” with Keisha. It is actually better than the original. Such a fun version of the song.
The best album by The Struts
The best Struts album is their debut record Everybody Wants. I own this killer debut on vinyl. It includes songs like “Kiss This”, “Put Your Money on Me”, “Dirty Sexy Money”, and “Young Stars”. It’s full of great songs. Once again I’ll mention this band is excellent in concert. Go see them on their next tour.
There you have it – the three best Struts albums. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
